Officers:
Executive Director: Carolyn Schoenborn. Carolyn has a BA in Religious Education and a Masters of Ministry from Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho; and a Masters of Organizational Management from The University of Phoenix. She is also certified in conflict resolution through The University of Idaho; and as a life-coach with Dream Coach University. She is a partner with Performance International. She has worked as a trainer, performance specialist, and project manager for Micron Technology, Inc., and as an independent consultant in organizational management. She is the wife of a pastor giving her 38 years of parish ministry experience. She has embraced volunteering for local and national service through church and non-church related efforts including work in multi-cultural and cross-denominational settings. These educational and professional opportunities provided Carolyn with knowledge and practical experience allowing her to envision the integration of the professional and spiritual worlds in personal vocational ministry. Carolyn fulfills the roles of Executive Director, primary course facilitator, coach, keynote speaker, and author for LJM.
Chair of Board of Directors: Helen Hanson. Helen is a 1981 graduate of Oregon State University with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with high scholarship, and a minor in Computer Science. She has professional audit and tax experience from Deloitte, Haskins & Sells (CPA's) in Portland, Oregon and was employed as a Controller in the high-tech telecommunications industry and later became a self-employed consultant for the management of numerous companies in computer systems analysis for accounting applications. Helen worked for MIS Consulting performing year 2000 conversions of accounting system databases for many well known companies in Oregon, Washington and California. In her Life Journey Ministries role she will serve as the president to make sure that the business is directed properly in order to achieve the long-term success of the organizationís mission and ministry.
Secretary of Board of Directors & Volunteer Administrator: Debbi Butner. Debbi is a 2006 graduate of Forsyth Tech Community College (Winston-Salem NC) with an associates degree in Computer Programming and also attended SUNY Delhi (Delhi, NY) graduating in 1976 with an associates degree in Liberal Arts. She has professional experience from the Adult Enrichment Center and two law firms as an Administrative Assistant. Currently she is working for Global Software where she began as an Administrative Assistant and for the past 10 years has been employed as a Computer Programmer. Debbi is the local organizer and President of the Board of Directors for Family Promise of Forsyth County a new ministry serving homeless families with children in Forsyth County, NC. In her role in Life Journey Ministries, she oversees the administration of Life Journey Ministries' daily operations in the areas of registration, documentation, communications, and records. Debbi also maintains minutes of Board interactions.
Treasurer: Nancy Bergman. Nancy is a graduate of National University, San Diego, CA with a degree in Accounting and Management. She has professional experience in construction and property tax accounting as the Director of Property Accounting, Jack-In-The Box, Inc., San Diego, CA. and as a private accountant specializing in QuickBooks setup and cleanup. She also volunteers with VITA in preparing personal income tax returns for low income and elderly clients. In her Life Journey Ministries role she will provide accounting and budgeting services and reporting.
VP of Participant Support: Carol Hofelmann. Carol attended Mankato State University, Colorado State University and Oregon State University majoring in Animal Science. She and her husband have run an agricultural equipment sales business and have recently expanded their business interests to buying and selling equine properties. Carol has been heavily involved in multiple volunteer activities through the church and community that involve planning and recruiting volunteers for many special mission, educational, service, and fellowship events. In her Life Journey Ministries role she will make sure that our recruitment processes are efficient and effective; and that participants are guaranteed greater success in their on-line experience because of effective encouragement and support.
VP Marketing: LeAnn Wilson McGuire. LeAnn is president and creative director of WilsonMcGuire Creative in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's School of Journalism and Mass Communication. After five years as partner/creative director at another agency, Wilson McGuire launched her own company, WilsonMcGuire Creative, in the summer of 2003. Her creative work has earned recognition in such prestigious competitions as the American Advertising Federation's Addy Awards, Communication Arts, Print's Regional Design Annual, How, ShowSouth and The One Show. Her experience includes a variety of brands including AmSouth Bank, Books-A-Million, Club Car, The Golf Channel, Hanes, The Kirklin Clinic, Parisian Department Stores, Sheraton Hotels, the 2005 U.S. Open, the University of Alabama at Birmingham and the Virginia Peninsula Economic Development Council. When she's not working, she's traveling, drawing, doing yoga or transporting her two children to various events and activities. In her Life Journey Ministries role, LeAnn will help shape the brand and develop creative marketing materials that reflect our collective vision for this ministry.
VP of Information Technology: Lynnette Campbell. Lynnette has a B.S. in Chemistry from USC and an M.S. in Chemistry from MIT. She recently retired after a 26 year career with Chevron. In her most recent assignment, she was a Senior Systems Analyst in the Oronite Global Technology Department of the Chevron Oronite Company. She served as the Team Leader for the internal applications development group. Lynnette focuses her volunteer activities within her church with a strong commitment to outreach. She also is volunteering as a horse handler with Xenophon Therapeutic Riding Center. In her Life Journey Ministries role, Lynnette certifies the web design and maintains the integrity of our overall communication and data maintenance systems.
Member Board of Directors: Rev. Thomas Schoenborn. Pastor Schoenborn is a 1968 graduate of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri. He has served multiple parishes throughout the Northwest; and retired July 2008. Pastor Schoenborn understands and emphasizes the rich gospel-centered theology that empowers all God's people to utilize all their skills and abilities within all their arenas of life. In his Life Journey Ministries role, Pastor Schoenborn offers theological support to all our activities.
